Up to £50,000 per annum
My client is a world class specialist manufacturer of highly engineered components and assemblies requiring the tightest dimensional tolerances for a range of demanding automotive and specialist engineering applications. This company is one of the regions biggest success stories. Due to increased customer demand the site is already well underway with huge expansion plans to increase capacity and widen the services they provide.
We are recruiting for a Quality Manager to be responsible for providing leadership and direction for the Quality team. You will achieve this through the maintenance and development of a quality system that continues to meet the requirements of Customers, IATF16949 and ISO 9001.
You will have strong quality management background, from the Automotive Industry / Precision Engineering sector. In return, they offer a competitive salary package and excellent long term development opportunities.
Comply with and enforce all / site policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
Ensure that the requirements of IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and Customers are fully met through the development, maintenance and enforcement of a suitable Quality Management System.
Direct and control quality related projects, utilising the appropriate tools and techniques, to promote and continually improve quality and performance targets throughout the organisation.
Agree control parameters for all on-site processes, identify and develop methods for controlling and implement monitors for reporting against these significant parameters (internal PPM).
Report on the performance of the sites quality performance against agreed targets and objectives.
Minimise internal scrap and maximise levels of Customer satisfaction by the implementation of robust root cause analysis and sustainable corrective / preventative actions.
The Suitable Candidate:
Experienced Quality Manager from an Automotive Industry background.
Good communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels and with Customers / Suppliers.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to operate at a strategic level.
Ability to make tough decisions and deal with complex situations.
Ability to motivate and direct staff to achieve measurable results.
Able to achieve agreed objectives and deadlines, and work under minimal supervision.
Good understanding of IATF 16949, ISO 9001,
Working knowledge of PPAP, MSA, APQP, SPC and FMEA
Strong problem solving skills using a structured approach and recognised tools (8D, 5Y`s, Ishikawa, etc.).
Competent in report writing and Computer literate / proficient with Microsoft Office.
Trained ISO/TS16949 auditor.
Valid driving licence and passport
