My client, a well established Painting Contractor company are looking for a Payroll Clerk to help cover maternity leave (9 Months contract but based on performance, this can be made permeant!), in the Gateshead area.

THE ROLE:

  • Receiving time sheets from staff Input of payroll on Sage software.
  • Process wages for 80+ staff on a weekly basis including holidays, SSP & SMP dealing with any discrepancies.
  • Input of data onto Sage 50 Accounts and other company software.
  • Preparing Excel and Word documents.
  • Usage of Microsoft Outlook.
  • Filing and answering incoming calls.
  • Material and stock orders using Eque2 system (training will be given).

THE PERSON:

  • Hold extensive Sage Payroll and Sage Accounts knowledge (1 years).
  • Excellent Administrative skills required with an attention to detail would be essential (1 years).
  • Manage own time effectively with the ability to work accurately with pace.
  • Effective and strong verbal and written communication skills.

THE PACKAGE:

  • Monday - Thursday 9am - 4.30pm, Friday 9am - 3.30pm.
  • Salary: £16,000.00 Per Annum.
  • Job Type: Contractual 9 Months (can be extended and made permanent!).
