My client requires a Manufacturing Engineer with hands on experience within manufacturing to join their growing team.

My clients customers sit within the Industrial, Aerospace, Military and Automotive industries.

This role is perfect for a Machinist/ Programmer who wants to take the next step in their career towards leading a team and implementing procedures within a Manufacturing environment by becoming a Manufacturing Engineer.

The role of Manufacturing Engineer will be based in a lively office and will work as part of a team - my client requires someone who is outgoing and is able to communicate well internally as well as having direct contact with customers. As a Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for leading from the front on Manufacturing proccesses and will be given overall responsibility for Operating Procedures on Equipment within your area.

As a Manufacturing Engineer you will be able take the technical lead for the production process whilst using Six Sigma principles to improve yield and quality across the process.

You will also be responsible for problem solving and implementing fault improvement processes in to production programs. You will have the ability to lead on cost saving and problem solving processes and have demonstrable experience of doing so. You will be responsible for identifying and introducing best practice across specific processes and will be expected to lead on the process implementation behind this.

As part of the Manufacturing Engineer role you will be involved in the process trials in relation to new NPI programs. You will be expected to be a part of the entire process including managing and leading the process within your team. You will identify Operator Training Requirements and support these.

The ideal candidate will have :

  • A minimum of three years’ experience of using and programming Thermal Spray Controllers  or Manufacturing Components for the Aerospace Sector

  • Experience of working with Gas Turbine hot section parts within Industrial, Aerospace, Military and Automotive industries.

  • A strong understanding of the technical aspects of thermal coating processes.

  • Experience of implementing improvement processes within a Manufacturing Environment

  • Experience of taking the lead of New Product Introductions

  • Experienced in the implementation of Thermal Spray Controlling procedures

  • Six Sigma Qualification / Significant experience of implementing Six Sigma Principles

  • Experience of implementing new processes and identifying operating training requirements from this.
