Position: Graduate Electronic Design Engineer

Salary: £20,000

Location: Skelmersdale, Lancashire

This is an excellent opportunity for a Graduate Electronic Design Engineer to join a company that will offer a varied and technically challenging role where you can play a major part in this company's growth and development.

A British designer and manufacturer of high quality electronic components for manufacturers. Today, tens of thousands of applications worldwide attest to the outstanding reliability of their products.

Core Responsibilities:

You will be working under the supervision of the Technical Director/Managing Director to design various types of electronic circuits for manufacturing equipment using means of technical drawing packages.

 To ensure all design work is completed to agreed programs and processes

 To complete tasks set out by senior management

 Taking projects from initial concept to design, Prototype and manufacturing

 Ability to design electronic circuits, using analogue and digital techniques

 PCB design and Layout (ability to use Proteus software is desirable but not essential)

 Creating assembly drawings for production

 Review and execute designs for manufacture, provide design changes and updates when required.

 Updating parts, bill of materials and relevant costings

 Assure product quality by designing electrical testing methods; testing finished products and system capabilities.

Additional Responsibilities:

 Provide support to manufacturing - manufacturing of product is completed on time

 Develop manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for building and assembling electrical components

 Help test and repair products on assembly line

The person:

 Minimum requirement a B.Eng. Hons degree in electronic engineering at 2:1 or better

 The ability to use PCB programming packages
