Customer Service Administrator

Temp - Perm, £18K per annum

Our client, a market leading materials distributor is currently recruiting for an experienced Customer Service professional to join their successful and growing team.

Both excellent interpersonal skills and Microsoft skills are of key importance to this position, where you will be required to pay high attention to detail, keep extremely organised but also have a great understanding of how to communicate effectively with customers and suppliers. You must be willing to take up all training in order to reach the desired level of Customer Service expertise.

General duties will include

  • Acting as the first point of contact for the client portfolio - for all queries, problems, service issues etc.
  • Resolving these will involve liaising with different departments internally, perhaps liaising with suppliers and finally responding to the customer – usually this is by email (Outlook)
  • Acting as Secretary to one or more of the International Sales Managers

Experience and Qualities required

  • Previous experience in a Customer Service orientated role is essential

  • Ability to work well under pressure, at speed and with deadlines - essential

  • Good computer skills and competent with Windows, especially Outlook email - essential

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially over the telephone dealing with international customers
  • Be willing to learn new skills and process work as requested

  • Well organised & multitasking 

  • Self- motivated, reliable, trustworthy and hardworking

Our client are initially looking to fill the vacancy on a temporary basis, with the intention to bring the successful candidate permanent after the probation period. An immediate start is available.

Working hours will be 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Estimated salary for the role will be £18K with 26 days holiday + public holidays per annum.
