Are you an experienced Business Development Manager or Account Manager?

Start People Ltd has an opportunity to join an established and successful sales team working from one of a number of offices across the North east region. 

The successful candidate will be energetic, enthusiastic and capable of exceeding targets and goals. A real go-getter, with a genuine passion for commercial growth, you will have a proven track record in new business development and B2B sales.

This is a target driven sales role with future opportunities for development as well as uncapped earning potential.

Responsibilities and Duties

As Business Development Manager you will be expected to deliver first class customer service and account management throughout the sales process. We are looking for someone with drive, passion and confidence in developing relationships.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Identify sales leads, pitch sales to new clients and maintain a good working relationship
  • Strengthen, maintain and develop existing relationships
  • Plan and prepare presentations
  • Communicate new developments to both prospective and existing clients
  • Being aware of market trends, industry developments to ensure a competitive edge
  • Being knowledgeable about products and services offered by the business

Qualifications and Skills

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in B2B sales and account management, all industries will be considered
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in sales / business development
  • Ability to identify, develop and win new clients
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong IT skills - in particular Excel, Word, PowerPoint and database management
  • Ability to achieve targets and meet deadlines
